On 17 June 2023 we fished the Heb Cronnie memorial at Harelaw Trout Fishery and Coffee Shop, following a couple of weeks of tough weather conditions the fishing proved challenging.

We were delighted to welcome 3 members of Heb’s family to the event, his son, Geordie and two grandsons Steven and Andrew Cronnie. Geordie fished using his fathers rod whilst wearing his waistcoat, a special addition on the 30th Anniversary of the memorial event.

With regards to the competition, the result is as follows,

1st – 4 fish for 9lb 13oz – Mark DaPrato

2nd – 2 fish for 4lb 13oz – Billy McShane

3rd – 2 fish for 4lb 10oz – George McShane

Heaviest Fish – Billy McShane 2lb 13oz

A huge thanks to Ross Murdoch and all the staff at Harelaw, a venue which really does excel with quality of facilities, hard fighting grade A perfect finned trout and of course their fantastic hospitality ensuring that every one remained fed and watered from the minute they arrived!
