On 21st March 2026 we fished our first competition of the season – in the form of a pegged fly match at Wee Glenamour!

In what turned out to be a challenging day, due to heavy fog and then burning bright sunshine 16 members dusted off their fly fishing gear and took to the banks!

The fish didn’t quite get the memo to turn up today with only 23 trout being caught by 6 anglers – nevertheless, a good day was had and only a few flies ended up trees!

The result was as follows;

1st – Scott Costley- 7 fish for 9 points

2nd – Andy Everett – 6 fish for 8 points

3rd – Jimmy Costley – 4 fish for 6 points

Thank you to all who came out to make the day a success – we are now officially up and running for 2026!
