22/07/2026 – NSDAA Waters Remain Closed

The water temperatures were checked again on 22 July 2026 and unfortunately they still remain too high to re-open.
For the welfare of our fish stocks, we are duty bound to remain closed until there is a significant uplift in the conditions which, by looking at the forecast, unless a drastic change comes will not be until at least early next week.
Naturally, we will monitor the situation and if the conditions improve we will open sooner.
We will check the temperatures against the start of next week and an announcement will be made when we are open to anglers again.
Please note, we have been made aware of anglers fishing our waters since the closure came into force.
Currently no one has authority to fish our waters, if anyone is seen to be, please report it to any committee member.
We thank you all for your patience and understanding, we are all as frustrated as you are that we cannot go and enjoy our waters.
This closure includes the River Cree.
