NSDAA Waters re-open 29/07/2026
NSDAA waters have been checked the morning of 29/07/2026 and all are now at 18 degrees.
As a result, all waters inclusive of the river and lochs are now back open with immediate effect from 1200 hours 29/07/26.
Please be aware, that the water temperatures have been very high for an extended period and the fish will have been suffering during this time.
With the river reopening, please remember, any fish caught on the river MUST be reported to Murdo Crosbie (as per contact details on permit) as soon as possible and in any case within 24hours.
Also, please remember to apply proper fishing etiquette, do not enter a pool ahead of another angler, always come up stream and enter behind.
Although below the 20 degree mark, we are still above the ideal fishing temperature of 16 degrees so please, if you are fishing catch and release, take care of the fish and unhook them in the water to give them a chance to recover before returning.
The stock in the lochs belong to the members of NSDAA, please help us take care of them.
Boat fishing
Water levels have dropped significantly, particularly in Fyntalloch, so boat fishing isn’t available until the boat is floating again! If fishing Ochiltree from a boat, please be aware that big stones that are usually deep down are that bit closer to the surface.
