On the 7th of June 2026, we fished the The Galloway Guns and Tackle trophy and Nelson Cup junior match, at Fyntalloch.

19 anglers caught 30 fish.

The result of the Nelson Cup (Juniors) as follows;

Primary age;

1st – Finlay Costley – 2 fish + time bonus for 9lb 1oz

2nd – Hunter Ferguson – 2 fish + time bonus for 8lb 12oz

Secondary age;

1st – Leo McMurray – 2 fish + time bonus for 8lb 7oz

2nd – Zac Cluckie – 2 fish + time bonus for 8lb 3oz

3rd – Ross Greggan – 1 fish for 2lb

Heaviest Fish – Zac Cluckie – 2lb 3oz

Galloway Guns and Tackle Trophy

1st – Jimmy Costley – 2 fish + time bonus for 9lb 2oz

2nd – Andrew Mcdowall – 2 fish + time bonus for 9lb

3rd – Scott Costley – 2 fish + time bonus for 9lb

(2nd and 3rd place was decided by the time of first fish caught…..one was 1004hours and the other 1006hours…close fought thing!)

Heaviest fish – Kerry McClymont – 2lb 9oz

Well done to all anglers who took part – it was a wet and windy day and full credit to everyone for sticking it out – especially our juniors that caught fish so early in the day!
