After what seemed like an eternity, 15 March brought the start of the 2025 trout season!

A couple of reminders with regards to the new season;

1 – Loch Ochiltree is now fly only.

2 – Fyntalloch has had work done in preparation for the new season with new fishing platforms added to allow a safe fishing base.

3 – Following last seasons trial, Fyntalloch can be fished by use of spinners, bait (powerbait/worms) or fly.

4 – Please always ensure that gates are left as found on all of our waters.

5 – Loch Dee is back on the permit and barrier keys can be purchased from Galloway Angling Centre.

6 – All members under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a water competent adult who has attained the age of 21.

7 – Please ensure that you carry your permit at all times whilst fishing on any of our waters.

Our rules, as usual, are all listed as part of membership packs.

Visitors permits for our lochs are available from Galloway Angling Centre and Creebridge House Hotel in Newton Stewart or alternatively from our website.
